There was a poor farmer lived in a village. His family lived in poverty. He was very sad for money. One day the fairy gave him a magic goose. He became very happy. Because the goose laid one golden egg every day. The farmer sold the golden egg in the market everyday and bought things for his family. Soon they lived as a rich family.
Some days later a very wicked idea came to the farmer’s mind. He thought, "if the magic goose lays one golden egg every day, how many golden eggs will be inside the goose? If I cut and open his belly of this goose, I will get so many eggs at a time. I will become rich in a single day.”
He killed the goose and open its belly. But, he found no eggs inside. Because of his greed, he lost his magic goose and the golden egg.
Moral: Greed is the root cause of miseries.
